This Kenya and Uganda safari combines The Migration and an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. The journey begins in Kenya’s Masai Mara, known for its vast savannahs and Big Five game viewing, followed by scenic stops at the Rift Valley lakes of Elementaita and Naivasha. The adventure continues in Uganda with a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, including a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This trip offers a balanced mix of wildlife, landscapes and unique cultural and natural experiences across East Africa.

  • Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi. Drive to the Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley. Afternoon game drive
  • Day 2: Full-day game drives in Masai Mara. Big Five wildlife viewing. Optional Maasai village visit
  • Day 3: Morning and afternoon game drives exploring different areas of the reserve
  • Day 4: Morning game drive. Drive back to Nairobi in the afternoon
  • Day 5: Drive through the Rift Valley lakes. Visit Lake Elementaita and Lake Naivasha. Optional boat ride or nature walk
  • Day 6: Flight to Entebbe. Transfer to Kibale national park
  • Day 7: Chimp trekking experience. Afternoon cultural encounter with the local community
  • Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi. Afternoon at leisure
  • Day 9: Bwindi gorilla trekking (5-7 hours)
  • Day 10: Outbound departure with a photo stop at the Equator

Do all accommodations have access to a water views?

We design all itineraries to help you enjoy water views wherever you go, provided your desired travel location is near a body of water.

Your itinerary in part or in full is designed to take you to places where you will enjoy a water view, either from your accommodation or the activities available to you. Please note that while we make every attempt to choose default accommodations with a water view, we cannot guarantee that every default accommodation or your particular room will have a water view as this is subject to the location, travel season, availability, booking time, etc.

Do you offer the full travel package of flights, car rental, hotel, insurance and activities?

Our safaris are in destination- local airport to safari accommodation- all inclusive trips, meaning they include in destination local transport, food and accommodation. International flights are not included.

Other non-safari trips can be modified to include transport, accommodation, activities and car rental options. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance from a reputable insurance carrier of your choice.

Are all the tours self-guided?

All Safari trips are fully guided. Other trips may be guided or self guided subject to your preferences.

What are the minimum and maximum number of travellers that can book a tour?

There is no set minimum or maximum numbers, all bookings depend on you and your travel plans. You can book to travel alone or with a group.

Are the tours suitable for all ages?

Most tours are suitable for all ages subject to the location, length of trip, activities involved and your personal circumstances. We encourage you to use your own judgment on what is suitable for you and your group.

Safari trips are inclusive of local transport, meals and accommodation but exclusive of international flights, insurance and gratuities and local taxes. For all other trips, unless otherwise specified, and all-inclusive travel services are purchased, the trips do not include meals, local transport, gratuities, insurance nor local taxes, charged by the accommodation and other service providers. We recommend buying health and travel insurance from a reputable provider to cover your trip.
