This trip begins in Arusha, where you will be transferred to your hotel upon arrival. Guided game drives explore vast savannas, iconic baobab trees and abundant wildlife, with optional walking or night safaris for a more immersive experience. The journey continues to the Ngorongoro Crater for outstanding Big Five sightings and the option of an afternoon cultural visit. The adventure then moves on to the Serengeti, where you may have the chance to witness the Great Migration. After the wildlife safari, your mountain climbing adventure begins at Londorossi Gate. The ascent follows the Lemosho Route, trekking through lush rainforest and across the expansive Shira Plateau toward Kibo’s glacier-capped peak. Well-paced acclimatization days at Moir Hut, Lava Tower and Barranco Camp prepare you for a midnight summit attempt, reaching Uhuru Peak before descending through rainforest to Mweka Gate and transferring to Moshi. The journey concludes with a flight to Zanzibar, where relaxing beach days provide time to unwind, experience local culture and explore the island.

  • Day 1: Arrival Day in Arusha, transfer to overnight accommodation
  • Day 2: Early morning transfer to Ngorongoro (2hr 40min). Check-in to your accommodation and explore the crater
  • Day 3: Morning in Ngorongoro Crater. Afternoon transfer to Serengeti National Park
  • Day 4: Early morning optional hot air ballon safari. Afternoon optional cultural encounter or game drive
  • Day 5: Transfer to Kilimanjaro to start acclimatization (5-7hrs) subject to animal sightings, traffic and road conditions
  • Day 6: Drive to Londorossi Gate. Complete park formalities and continue to Lemosho trailhead. Begin trek through rainforest for acclimatization
  • Day 7: Trek through lush hills and streams, ascending to Shira Ridge with views of Kibo Peak. Descend slightly to Shira Camp 1.
  • Day 8: Explore the Shira Plateau, trekking east toward Kibo’s glaciered peak. Continue to Moir Hut near Lent Hills for acclimatization walks
  • Day 9: Trek southeast toward Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp
  • Day 10: Climb the Barranco Wall and continue via Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp. Views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.
  • Day 11: Ascend via Stella Point to Uhuru Peak. Midnight summit attempt. Descend to Mweka Camp.
  • Day 12: Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive summit attempt. Descend to Mweka Camp.
  • Day 13: Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for flight to Zanzibar. Mid-morning arrival, transfer to beach hotel
  • Day 14: Zanzibar Island – Optional swim with dolphins at Mnemba Island, relax on the beach or explore the island
  • Day 15: Zanzibar Airport – Departure for onward international flight

Do all accommodations have access to a water views?

We design all itineraries to help you enjoy water views wherever you go, provided your desired travel location is near a body of water.

Your itinerary in part or in full is designed to take you to places where you will enjoy a water view, either from your accommodation or the activities available to you. Please note that while we make every attempt to choose default accommodations with a water view, we cannot guarantee that every default accommodation or your particular room will have a water view as this is subject to the location, travel season, availability, booking time, etc.

Do you offer the full travel package of flights, car rental, hotel, insurance and activities?

Our safaris are in destination- local airport to safari accommodation- all inclusive trips, meaning they include in destination local transport, food and accommodation. International flights are not included.

Other non-safari trips can be modified to include transport, accommodation, activities and car rental options. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance from a reputable insurance carrier of your choice.

Are all the tours self-guided?

All Safari trips are fully guided. Other trips may be guided or self guided subject to your preferences.

What are the minimum and maximum number of travellers that can book a tour?

There is no set minimum or maximum numbers, all bookings depend on you and your travel plans. You can book to travel alone or with a group.

Are the tours suitable for all ages?

Most tours are suitable for all ages subject to the location, length of trip, activities involved and your personal circumstances. We encourage you to use your own judgment on what is suitable for you and your group.
